Step 2 - Join the Soil Association and qualify for your Master Class absolutely FREE.

Fancy filling your kitchen with the smell of freshly baked bread? Join Waltham Place Chef, Adrian Foster, to learn how to make a perfect loaf using traditional ingredients. During this hands on day you will make a number of different breads whilst learning about a range of world breads, flours and practical tips to make fine bread a daily treat.

Organic fruit and vegetable growing – getting started
Would love to enjoy home grown fruit and vegetables but don’t know where to begin? Get a head start for summer by spending the day at Waltham laying the groundwork for the new gardening you of 2008. Val Turner, the manager of Waltham’s Organic Kitchen Garden, offers an opportunity to visit the farm and learn the basic principles which will allow you to create and manage a productive and beautiful vegetable plot of your own. Learn about planning your plot, soil care, choosing and sourcing seeds and the best and tastiest varieties to use. Val will coach you in crop rotation and companion planting, composting, protected cropping and fruits as well as answering queries specific to your own personal needs.
