Funding is available through the Big Lottery's Fund for local food.

Local Food is a £50 million programme that will distribute lottery grants to a variety of food-related projects to help make locally grown food accessible and affordable to local communities.

LOCAL FOOD EVENTS PROGRAMME MAY 2008 — SEPTEMBER 2008 Got your Local Food application form and want to make sure you hit those ‘funding buttons’, whilst avoiding those ‘grant pitfalls’? Then this is the event for you! These sessions are aimed at groups that are in the process of submitting a First or Full Stage Application to Local Food for a Small, Main, or Beacon Grant. The day will be split into a morning and afternoon session. In the morning, the Local Food Adviser Team will run through a series of general handy tips for applying for a grant, whether to Local Food, or another funding body The afternoon will be a surgery session, where you will get the chance to have a chat with someone from Local Food about your project and any specific questions you might have about completing any of the Local Food application forms. All events are free to attend but we do require a deposit of £50. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Local Food Events 19 May 2008 - Eastern, Cambridge 16 June 2008 - North East, Gateshead 14 July 2008 – South West, Bristol 19 August 2008 – East Midlands, Nottingham 22 September 2008 – North West, Manchester Please note only one person per organisation can attend.

To reserve your place you will need to download the booking form and return a hard copy to the address provided with a deposit of £50 enclosed. This will be refunded on the day. Cheques payable to ‘RSWT’.
